The Eyal hype

Was nothing much. I thought he would help her with Chicago. Furthermore, there wasnt much screen time with him.

He is a fan favorite, so some is better than none.

Also, it keeps alive the notion that he can/will come back at any time if a mission/situation demands it.

So, even when he is not around, we never think of him as completely gone from the show.

So what if the actor chooses to leave? you going to kidnap him?

reply

Kidnap? No.

Make him an offer he can't refuse.

I might. He's HOT.

Ooh I hadn't heard that but I'd like it if it was true!

To me, it is just that. Hype! Its not like his episodes cause some spike in ratings. His arc in season 3 didn't get huge ratings so the viewership doesn't get affected by his presence. Even after promoting his presence in the ep this season, the ep had lower ratings than all but one so far this season. Now that's not to say that he affects ratings badly but I think devoted Eyal fans are just incredibly vocal but not exactly huge in numbers. I personally enjoy him in the one odd appearance here an there. The interest in his character is through his slightly mysterious yet likable persona. Having him onscreen as a regular would destroy what makes him likable in the first place.

Could not agree more! Eyal is indeed a great character and most of his charm comes from him not being a regular. He is, like Rossabi, just one of Annie's outside connections (of course, the dynamic with him is different from the one with Rossabi because of fellow-agent/FBI stuff).

And yeah, Eyal fans are very vocal; it's nice and cute they 'ship him with Annie, but it's not really going to happen. Sorry :)

Awesome news though - anytime he is on, it is a plus.

Next year, he will be reunited with a former co-star, The Mummy himself, Arnold Vosloo, along with the very underrated Faran Tahir and awesome Ken Foree (and Ron Perlman!) in the thriller Sara's Cell. Unfortunately, the lead is Elisabeth Rohm. She is pretty, but her monotone, horrible acting will probably ruin the whole thing.
