I knew it!

MacQuaid is the bad guy.

reply

I think the meeting with the dog walker was a red herring. What we saw is not what's real.
My money is still on Catlyn.

Fornell: Well tie me up and call me Loretta.

reply

Yeah I agree, dog walker is screaming red herring. He's probably paid by McQ to watch out for the guy.

reply

Why would the dog walker have the assignment to begin with? To protect which asset?

If it is the paranoiac, then he failed. AND he waited until the following morning to report his failure and receive a handshake, to boot.

If it is McQuaid, then it is likely the dog walker was the killer of the paranoiac. Then it would make sense for him to report in the following morning. AND receive a handshake for a successful assignment.

I agree - I don't trust this woman AT ALL.

As for the dog walker guy, I think McQuade was trying to protect him (Roger)- I don't even thin McQuade knows that Catlyn is "dirty". It made it too obvious that the dog walker guy shows up at McQuade's house while Annie is there. I HOPING McQuade isn't "playing" Annie, I think it all comes down to Catlyn using McQuade's company for her dirty work and McQuade doesn't even know; for some reason McQuade puts too much trust into Catlyn. its CA after all anything goes.

Good Call.

Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.

reply

I wouldn't be too sure yet. I still feel reasonably certain that he's not the mole.

reply

Listen people whether you accept it or not McQuaid is the bad guy. The whole storyline is set up that way. There it's no mole in his company, he just said that to throw suspicion off himself.

reply

Nothing about the set up indicates whether McQuaid is or is not the mole. Everyone said the same thing about Calder last season, that he was definitely working for Henry and that turned out to be not true. In the same way, I feel fairly certain that McQuaid is not the mole. Its just too obvious a solution.

reply

You think what you want. I don't know why people don't want McQuaid to be the bad guy. Nic Bishop is either the bad guy or he gets killed off shows. I'm thinking on this show he's the bad guy, and he's going to die.

reply

I'm hoping McQuaid is the bad guy _and_ Annie falls in love with him, both. We've already had the other side of that, with Auggie: she fell in love with him -- time for the Dark Side, in her attachments. Annie & Love are two big central themes, here -- whether the latter can work in The Modern World, and whether the former can survive the test, describes all of us. McQuaid is just good-guy enough, for her to face the dilemma -- if she'd fallen for Henry it wouldn't have worked... But with McQuaid's good looks and tenderness it's more plausible, as a real dilemma.

reply

The mole is Caitlyn.

The Big Bad of the season is a Georgian diplomat that will appear first in ep 10. Caitlyn is his wife

reply

Or the dog walker is working for some else and he is now being used to make Annie suspicious of McQuaid.

reply

Oh course they are making it seem as though McQuaid is dirty, but I have a feeling it is not going to be the case. Cliché I know, all signs point to him, but a twist will reveal it not to be the case. The problem I have with it is that Annie always compromises herself in these types of situations. She ends up drinking and smooching with someone she doesn’t really know and when she is asked to stay away or not to trust him, she’ll do the exact opposite as if her pouty mouth will be enough to decipher that she can trust him.

Outside of her characters “bitchy” persona that a lot of fans are discussing as of late I dislike Annie for the fact that not only is she not realistic in terms of being believable as a spy, but her tendency to get emotionally compromised with assets, co workers and going her own way make it impossible for me to completely believe that she is an effective spy, let alone a likable character.
