This forum is thick with negativity. Personally I love show, even though it's changed over the years. Especially the filming on several exotic locations, filming some parts with handheld camera where others would have chosen something more traditional, real driving etc. All things to make it a bit more realistic (yes I know it's still not close to homeland).
But I honestly don't understand all the critique. If you're disappointed with it or have issues too big to swallow while watching, then change the channel. Go and watch scorpion - or homeland ;)
Nothing wrong with people sharing their "negative" opinions...most of which are constructive. If enough people are complaining, and loudly, then perhaps the higher ups might change things. Even of they don't (not fast enough anyway), there's is still no harm in pointing out what's wrong with this show.
It would be boring if we all thought like you. I like the difference in opinion, as well as how vocal people are being. And the fact that the majority of this board seems to agree tells me that you may be in the minority on your thinking. Different strokes for different folks either way.
People have expressed their opinions about this show for years because it's taken too many different tracks that it's gotten to be ridiculous. The show runners used to care what their fans thought, and actually tailored the show to the fan feedback. But I've felt that since S4, this show has been a closed-door boys club, where the show runners no longer listen to the fans, don't care what the fans say or what they want to see, and do what they want instead, expecting the fans to love it. If they don't, then those fans don't matter. True, no one likes negativity, negative feedback, or criticism, but this show used to be about the fans - it isn't anymore. If a show wants to survive, it needs fans, and the show runners have all but chased loyal fans away changing the show as much as they have, screwing over characters, and disappointing fans all around.
It's sad that this isn't even a spy show anymore. It's all about the "romances" - who sleeps with who and who ends up with who. A relationship doesn't even have to have a solid foundation on this show - let's just put our female lead with as many guys as possible because it's all about the romances. There doesn't even have to be chemistry, dating, or romantic elements to a relationship, and when there is, it gets swept under the rug in favor of something else.
Fans want to their voices to be heard - that's why there's so much criticism about this show. Like I said above though, the problem is that the show runners no longer listen, and don't care.
