This is La Femme Nikita all over again

I dont watch this series, but it seems like history is repeating itself. The femme fatale series starring a blonde spy was canceled after 4 seasons. Fans were in an uproar and they fought back and USA decided to bring it back for a final season.

Honestly, in this day and age, I am shocked that any station would cancel a series on a cliffhanger after 5 seasons. With all these streaming sites and syndication value, i cant imagine it will be easy to sell a show that has no resolve after 5 seasons. I honestly think you fans have a good chance at getting this renewed if you fight for it. Just use the La Femme Nikita angle.

Hell even Alias and Nikita got final seasons. Its completely outrageous that this doesnt get closure.

I agree. Ill never understand why cancelled shows arent given some sort of closer if for no other reason than dvd/bluray sales. Anyone who finds this show now will simply know not to bother with it as it has no ending. Who wants to invest time and money in something that has no conclusion?

What I lack in talent, I make up for in my pants!

i concur. i just wished they would think about all of the fans who have stuck by the series for many years. i get that ratings have dropped and they're losing money... so give us a shortened final season to wrap things up.

regarding the dvd comment... i am an avid collector despite the possibilities of netflix, streaming, and downloading films. but there is no way i would want an unfinished series in my collection. why would i wanna rewatch it again in a few years only to get disappointed again since there is no conclusion?

this is one of the main reasons why i HATE tv networks. especially CBS. they just keep dragging out shows until they suck and they pull the plug. they don't care about the fans. they just care about profit.

Agreed. For example, I saw the 4400 on Netflix. It looked really interesting. I went online to see if it was still running and I saw that it was cancelled. So then I checked if there was an ending. There was not.that show remains not watched.

Alias was science fiction *beep* with CIA all over it.

I can understand viewer annoyance at this ploy used by networks/production companies. It shows a complete lack of care for loyal viewers of the show. Audiences are treated more like an inconvenience and inconsequential rather than someone who is keeping them in a job. Too many decisions are made on the spur of the moment for short term profit reasons. Long term vision has all but disappeared.

Having said that, a lack of ending doesn't bother me too much. All too often the shows change so much that I stop watching them long before before the final season.
