What would be the best episode to show someone what the show is about?

I gotta write a script with other 2 people and I love how this show reflects life, I want to show them just one episode, but I really dont know what could be the best one, the most complete one, can you help me please?

Season three, episode three: Miami, is a very well rounded episode.

My picks would be:

Season 1 Episode 5
Season 2 Episode 8
Season 4 Episode 1
Season 4 Episode 9
Season 5 Episode 5

I really like Season 1 episode 8 Dogpound. Also Season 1 episode 2 Divorce I really like. Really though any episode in this season would do!

Season 2 Episode 2 Bummer/Blueberries is my favorite from that season.

Season 3 was probably my favorite season but too many of the episodes were connected to pick one, plus something from season one I think is best suited for what you are asking for. The Parker Posey date was just glorious though! The Late Show episodes blew my mind! And I don't have the words for how Barney became to be so eerie and special. At the time the stripclub scene alone was amazing but then later it became something way more heartbreaking in retrospect. The finale just a perfect way to blend them all together!

Season 4 So Did the Fat Lady was probably the best from that season. It was the most thought provoking for me. I also enjoyed Model. Elevator was wonderful too. It evokes that feeling I get watching Jim Jarmusch which I am sure was exactly Louis CK's intention.

Season 5 Episode 1 Pot Luck was great as well as the beginning of Cop Story with the young shop owner.

So many other episodes I could've picked but these are the ones that stand out to me. Like I said season 1 would probably best represent.

It's not so bad as long as you can keep the fear from your mind.

Season 3 is absolutely brilliant from beginning to end so I'll a few from the others:

Season 1 ep 6 (Heckler/Cop Movie)
Season 2 ep 8 (Come on God)
Season 4 ep 2 (Model)

Funniest scene: Season 1 ep 8 (Dogpound) The morning after smoking opium laced hash with his neighbour, Louie goes to a coffee bar.

These episodes may not have the depth of some of the others but they are gut busting funny.

I'm going to "third" 1.8 Dogpound (the coffee bar scene lmao...and the ice cream binge is all too relatable to me. Hilarious repetition of the cycle: "You know what? you're right!" Cue failure)

2.1 Pregnant = another favorite
The pregnant sister was very well-acted and had a hilarious twist-ending
Louie flips off his youngest.
"I KNOW WHAT I'm DOING YOU'RE NOT DEAD YET"
"I love her; I wish she was never born"
Also an interesting stand-up clip about how divorces could spare children from all the crushing dysfunction
