Louis on the future of Louie....(17 Jan2016)

He's taking a hiatus so we don't get sickof him....he says after 5 seasons plus a special a year for 7 years is enough for a while, taking a break to regroup, age, and produce something fresh and of higher quality. I think he can take 4 years, or more...which I tihnk is great... cause time goes by so quick, and the more one takes his time, the better the quality. Thoughts?

It's like the show FVriends, they could have taken a 5 or 10 year break, and brought it back. Why not? Because that's who they are now, it's Ross and Joey and Rachel and Chandler...they have not managed to find new roles. They earned more than enough money to last 10 lifetimes. Why are we always in a rush? Why not give shows 5 or 10 year breaks, and bring it back. Kind of like Arrested Development, they got the idea.

Oh what a day. What a lovely day!

Ah, man. I was looking so forward to a sixth season of Louis this year! I'm a big fan of Arrested Development, but the show wasn't as good when they came back as a Netflix-only series.

he's been funny as hell in everything I've seen him do, so if he says he needs a break that might result in some more brilliance.

Maybe something on hbo like Lucky Louie which blew me away.

I don't mind it ending five seasons is a great run and usually a good ending for a show. What bugged me was ending mid-season. It didn't feel finished.

He's been under the radar for awhile. There was the incident with the two female comics who complained he masturbated in from of them in his hotel room, pretty embarrassing.

I really do love Louie CK, but was a little turned off by this, have to admit.

I hope he comes back when he feels like he has something new to say. I think he was a bit over exposed, no pun intended.

When did this happen?!? I haven't heard a single thing about that

I was surprised there were only eight episodes in this season, especially since I really liked the episodes and though they were really funny. I hope he keeps up the quality if he decides to come back to this series. If he says he needs a break, then I'm all for it. He obviously works hard on this show, starring, producing and directing. Pretty much wearing many hats. If he decides to end the series, I'm fine with that too because this was an excellent show all the way through.
