Is Chumlee related to the main 3 owners?

In one episode (perhaps as a joke) Corey said he was Chum's father (or Chum said Corey was his father). In another, they said they were brothers. I am guessing that was a joke (assuming that Corey isn't as old as he looks, Chum is actually a bit older).

They are not related. Chum was created by some evil inhuman experiment gone horribly wrong.
