I always thought he was stoned!

reply

I think Rick wanted to stone him on a regular basis. 😉

On a more serious note, do you think this will negatively affect the continued longevity of the show?

Can it continue without the perceived half-wit that provided some humour or has he cost it, at least, a prime slot?

From a CBS story published January 23, 2015.

Rick Harrison: How much longer I plan to do "Pawn Stars"

Looking ahead, Harrison expects to continue with "Pawn Stars" and the spinoff "Pawnography" for another two years.

"I promised my wife that after two years I'm massively going to slow down," he revealed. "I can't work 12 hours a day, every day for too long before it burns out. So two more years and then I'm going to really slow down...The shop will still be around. The beautiful thing about my shop is that I get all my weird stuff."

I'm just disappointed that we won't get the Chumlee spin-off no one wanted.

Maybe the next History series featuring Russell will be about prison banking systems throughout the millenia.

Russell will explain the intricacies of prison monetary systems and trade/barter practices.

He can relate his real life experiences in the pawn shop business - compare and contrast if you will.

Big question is whether "Chumlee" is a suitable prison name?

Hopefully the end for Chum. I like the show and learning about the pieces people bring to the shop but have grown REAL tired of the stupid skits and the increased focus on this unamusing and disrespectful slacker.

So many a$$holes, so few bullets.

reply

For the first time he really has something to whine about.
Maybe it's all a stunt to bump up the show. 😜

Time will tell if this is the right decision or not but it's early in the investigation.

I suppose, having known Chumlee for so long, it's the natural reaction at this stage.
