I imagine his lawyers told him to keep a low profile, not make matters worse by risking some public gaffe.

When heiress and reality star Paris Hilton made her DJing debut at a music festival in São Paulo in June, many observers wondered ? just how difficult is it to DJ, really? Not at all, according to outspoken dance music producer Deadmau5, real name Joel Zimmerman: ?It takes two days to learn, as long as you can count to four,? Zimmerman told Rolling Stone. Forbes, Aug 2, 2012

I read when Russell took the entrance exam for Blend the DJ Institute of Las Vegas he struggled to count to four but managed to get to five after great effort. He passed even though he was in the 20th percentile in his testing group.

From what I have seen and heard, I know almost anyone can "claim" to be a DJ...lol..seems like everyone used to, or is a DJ. Especially the bar DJs. I'm like "dude, you pick songs from a laptop."

Blend the DJ institute of Las Vegas. Is that a subsidiary of Trump University?

Trump University? Let's check...

Since May 2014, Blend The DJ Institute has had a long, storied, and proud tradition of almost two years of guiding, teaching, and training the next generation of DJs and producers.

Blend the DJ Institute is not listed in the U. S. Department of Education's Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs.

The BTDJI's beautiful campus is located in the Apache Plaza of the quaint Spring Valley area of Las Vegas. Stately palm trees line the roadway up to the building whose design follows the architecturally rich tradition of Strip Mall Arts so popular in the 20th and 21st centuries.

The school book store DOES NOT appear to have any books to sell to students but there is lots of spirit wear with the Blend logo. Although they claim that their students enter world-wide competitive events, it is not apparent if there is any affiliation with an athletic conference.

It looks like they have two classrooms or labs for students to study and perform experiments. The faculty consists of four members although none list their education or degrees. It must be noted that DJ Ease has residencies at not one but two august institutions of higher learning - Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel’s REHAB Beach Club and Atlantic City’s Mega Club The POOL AFTER DARK.

Speaking of degrees, the website doesn't list any degree programs per se but there are four “majors” available – DJing, Turntablism, Production, and Ableton for DJs. Each major has a varying number of courses (the course catalog lists 19 courses) with each course meeting for six one hour sessions. No mention whether those are credit hours and whether they are transferable.

There are no dorms nor is there a meal plan. However, there are continuing education programs/workshops which offer free pizza when the workshop fees are paid. No registration required. No mention of Greek life but rumor has it the 420 Society is quite active.

Each course is $540.00 No scholarships or grants offered but there is a payment plan and a 10% discount if paid in full. Group classes are available for two or more persons at $399.00 per person..

There are no prerequisites for attending Blend The DJ Institute except the aforementioned ability to count to four (which apparently is the industry standard for DJ schools). For lab supplies, students must have a laptop and desktop (preferably Apple). A studio is not required, just a “designated area” for DJing and production. There is absolutely no requirement that the student have any music experience.

Russell is mentioned on the alumni page, just ignore the fact that he is the ONLY alumni listed. There is a photo of Russell along with the instructors which might be a graduation photo with Russell wearing a camo hoodie which must be the millennial version of the traditional cap and gown.

If you can't count to four, is there a remedial math class one can take and pass to prove one's worthiness of being BTDJI student? Or maybe they can transfer an addition class credit...

None listed in the BTDJI course catalog but at the GlamSquadShop next door they offer a course consisting of six one-hour sessions for $90 a session. Each session consists of listening to The Count from Sesame Street non-stop for one hour.

If the student shows up for the fourth session they pass but aren't told they've passed until the end of the sixth session.

GlamSquadShop graduation rates are said to be lower than Nevada's 70.7% high school graduation rate. Much, much lower.

I'll take the class only if "The Count" is teaching class. Maybe I can find a class syllabus online?

Spelling? Syllabus- been outta college awhile !
