So I gave this a try.
Boring as hell.
All you gotta do is just watch about three people come in with things to try and sell. That's it. You've seen the whole series past, present and future.
So what is it that makes it to keep viewers tune in?
Watching paint dry is just as exciting.
Especially since there is a commercial break every 10 seconds. And that is no joke.

I'm pretty sure that about 90% of the audience is like me and watch to see the items and learn about them. There are a ton of whiners here continuously crying about the program being scripted. I don't give a rat's ass whether it is or isn't.
Keep showing the interesting items and I'll keep watching. As for the commercial breaks, they have no more than any other network or basic cable station. Hey, it's almost 2017 and no one should be concerned about commercials. Everything I watch is recorded so I can zap those little boogers away. I don't think I've seen a commercial since the 80s.

I'm not a fan of pawn shop shows and I definitely don't watch this show for the cast (because I can't stand them) but if I'm channel surfing and see this show on, I will stop and watch a bit just to see what interesting item someone is trying to sell and what the supposed value is. I'm also the same way with antique roadshow... I'm not a fan of the show but if I ever happen to catch it on, I will watch a bit of it to learn something new about the antiques on the show.
