The guy is one of the biggest criminal con artists ever. Pretending that it costs money to sell things so he needs to make at least 30% profit on every big money item he buys.

I sold a movie poster to a website that specializes in such things. I sold it for a fraction of what I paid for it. Nobody put a gun to my head. But I needed to get rid of several items in my house due to an impending move. The poster was on the website for about five years before I noticed it was marked "sold." The selling price was less than what I originally paid, but three times what he bought it from me for. But it took him five years. Having to store an item costs money--not just a simple poster but the total of everything they have in inventory. For example the cost of insurance.
How many VCR players did pawn shops get stuck with when everybody went to DVD? How many CD players are they going to get stuck with once everybody goes exclusively downloads?
There's several items over the years I've been watching the show that they sold at a pretty modest profit. And some things that they've taken a loss on. I'm not crying for them, they have a TV show and make good money.
