2 words. Ray Liotta

Was amazing in The Place Beyond The Pines and then stole the show yet again in The Iceman. Talk about a comeback. This man better at least get nominated for a supporting actor Oscar next year for one of these roles.

I thought he was fabulous in The Place Beyond the Pines but felt he wasn't exactly right for the role of Roy DeMeo. I thought they could've chosen a lesser known actor who better fit the bill. Just my opinion though.

I don't know many specifics about the history of these characters so I'm not sure how Demeo was supposed to be. Maybe Liotta was miscast but objectively speaking he seemed great to me.

Liotta did a good job but the problem was the writing for the character sucked...from everything I've read about the real guy they watered him down quite a bit especially when he's whining to the other guy about having to take out Rosenthal (David Schwimmer's character)...probably for dramatic effect or w/e but just wasn't that impressed with how the character was portrayed...Liotta's always solid though

Same here, from what read, Demao was ruthless but Ray did the best he could.

I think Ray Liotta is a one trick pony. He plays every role the exact same way. Whether it be a cop or a criminal(it's always one or the other). It's the same guy with a different name.

reply

I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING! He's alright though.
