Even the FBI admit Kuklinski was a liar

That he was completely full of crap about a lot of the crimes he claimed to be in on and stories he told.

He claimed he was DeMeo's most trusted killer; practically every Gambino hitman and crook who turned snitch claim they either never saw him, or he was just a rent-a-goon. He claimed he killed DeMeo when its widely accepted "the Gemini Twins" did it.

Kulinski was a killer, no doubt, but he knew he'd die in prison so he made up a bunch of bs and exaggerted lies to entertain himself and build up a small legend.

I never heard of Kuklinski before this movie so the fact that they made a movie about him makes him a notorious legend like Bundy, Manson, etc.

Nino Gaggi, DeMeo's capo, was the probable killer. DeMeo wouldn't have let anyone close to him at the end. The book Murder Machine details that fact.

Kuklinski was a joke. He found someone who wrote a ridiculous biography about him and then enhanced that phony biography with n implausible HBO documentary. He may have killed a few people; but he was always a hanger-on. He was never a serious player in the Gambino family.

This film could have been so much better if it had decided not to embellish his story and propagate his ridiculous myth.
