I thought she was great in this film. She did a great job of playing the wife who knew but didn't want to know what her husband was doing. She also did a great job of living the high life off of his work but then getting mad at him when it came back to haunt them. I thought her character was very complex and she seemed very believable. Some solid performances in this film.

Winona is sexier now than she was 20 years ago!Shes definitely the only reason to watch this film again,sorry Ray.
I agree! She has actually gotten sexier as she's aged. She had more of an androgynous, almost boyish look sometimes when she was younger, but she really has come into her own and turned into quite a beautiful woman.
I also agree about the film's pace. It was quite uneven with it's tone and pacing. I haven't read the book, but it was one of those films that after viewing it I couldn't figure out whether it needed another 30 minutess added or to be shortened by 30 minutes.
She definitely ages well. I used to think of her in "Beetlejuice" when I heard the name. Then I remember being shocked when I saw her in "Mr. Deeds", and then seeing her here.... She's gorgeous.
