Underrated movie!!

I was not a huge fan of it.
The cast was very good, the director seemed competent and production was quality.
I think its biggest problem was trying to cover so much ground in such a short period of time. It either needed to be an epic 3.5 hour long movie, or start off later or focus on a single story line or era of his life.

4 of 10.
Had the potential to be epic 8 of 10. Sadly it didnt reach those levels.

I don't think it was a 9, but a solid movie nonetheless. People on this board are killing it and I think that's way off.

I think the OP is being incredibly sarcastic and facetious. It wasn't a very good movie and Michael Shannon's performance was too dull to be "incredible and fascinating".

He sounded like he needed to cough some phlegm up out of his throat the whole time.

Hugely underrated film IMO. Great cast and interesting story.

For a relatively low budget film I would have thought it would have made money, but apparently it was a big flop.

Was it not widely released?
