Truth is
I don't think kuklinsky's character was played the accurately either. For anyone who's seen the interviews from him, he almost came off as someone who you could spark up a random convo with and think he was a decent guy. He mentioned it several times in the interview how he was comin off as a nice guy and how he thrived on that misconception as a mob contract killer. They portrayed him as overly lovin of his kids and wife compared to even the real kuklinsky's testimony. He frequently beat his wife and one of his daughters despised him for it. He had a son, don't know why he wasn't included. Idk I understand that America generally tries to make the protagonists of these type of movies less brutal and unforgiving, it's just i don't fully understand why they do that. Why try to create any kind of falsely felt sympathy for someone like this?
