They could've put a Bionicle or a ninja or a famous character, but they put in the most annoying character ever put in an animated film.

Oh hey, didn't you have Lego in the 80s - perhaps you're too young? Everybody had the space set, and the astronaut figure's helmet always broke in the same place. He's there for the nostalgia value. Hey, we had that set!

The cracked helmet was a great touch. Reminded me of all my Lego astronauts. Plus the blue was always my favorite. So Benny was the best IMO.

You had to be a kid in the 80s for that to make sense. It was perfect.
