As I was watching this movie, I couldn't help but feel like I was watching an updated version of an older Whoopi Goldberg movie, before I say what it is, I wanna see if anyone else felt that way too.

Exactly!! And no it's not b/c he and Whoopi are both black, it's just a lot of his reactions remind me of Whoopi's and the whole Spy plot reminded me of it.
