Best Comedy 2016: Deadpool? Central Intelligence?

Those are probably the 2 best comedies I've seen released this year, but I must admit, I haven't seen too many, so are there some other great comedies released this year/late last year that you would recommend?
What do you think is the best comedy of the year so far?

Best Comedy films of 2016

1. Deadpool
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
3. Nice Guys
4. Zoolander 2
5. Central Intelligence
6. Hail Caesar
7. Grimsby

reply

Ok, thanks, not a bad list, although I thought Zoolander 2 was one of the absolute worst films I've seen in my life, which was a shame since I really enjoyed the first one.

reply

Well, there's only been seven good comedy films this year.

reply

Popstar is #1 by far... Nice Guys #2

Sadly, I have to agree 100% with JimiCobain on the subject of Zoolander. The first one is one of my top 5 favorite comedies, and I feel as though I almost hated the sequel. It even makes me feel even worse when I consider how much I was anticipating Zoolander 2, and all the time and energy I wasted.

I see you're drinking 1%. Is that cause you think you're fat?

It's always interesting to get other people's opinions.

Deadpool is an obvious #1 for me. Nice Guys is a distant 2nd, and I really liked that movie. Popstar, Central Intelligence and TMNT come after. Those are the movies I have seen.

reply

I forgot Zoolander 2. That movie would be last, imo. Was disappointed with that one

reply

Nice Guys was the best comedy so far that I've seen.

I didn't even think this or Deadpool were all that funny, they were just ridiculously immature, for the most part very predictable, and overall they were mostly borefests to me. Nice Guys for the win! It's not so predictable, and it doesn't always tank all the comedy into 12 year old territory.

My body's a cage, it's been used and abused...and I...LIKE IT!!

I like Deadpool and Central Intelligence a lot, but I agree, Nice Guys is definitely the best comedy of the year.

I agree that Nice Guys was the best comedy of 2016 for me so far. I havent seen Deadpool. From the trailers it had those fart jokes that are funny to a crowd that likes Pineapple Express, etc.

C.I was funny at moments but the overall movie felt empty with the lame fight/shooting scenes where everyone just gets hurt and not killed. It almost felt a PG TV movie.

I found Keanu (2016) to be a bit flat at times, just dragging on on a collection of Peel skits.

Everybody Wants Some (2016) was interesting because the characters were all likeable without the cliche "smart/dumb/handsome/ugly" stereotype characters. And it was about baseball which is always cool.

Dirty Grandpa (2016) was rude and cheesy at some points but I think it made fun of the genre and I found it entertaining.

Elvis & Nixon (2016) was funny but somewhat flat with really no grip. Could had been as good as Nice Guys if it was a little more developed.

Deadpool. CI has no chance.

I have to update my answer because I've now seen an even better comedy from this year. Now I list Everybody Wants Some! as the best of the year, and Nice Guys as #2. War Dogs was very good too, but honestly it's almost more of a drama than a comedy, though it is very funny at times. Bad Moms was silly, but also very funny. Kathryn Hahn was friggin hilarious as a slutty Mom and basically stole most of the film I thought. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot was not great, but not bad either.

My favourite of the year so far?

1. Deadpool (easy choice)
2. Popstar
3. Nice Guys
4. Susage Party
5. Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates (I did not expect this one to be as funny as it was)

reply

DEADPOOL and THE NICE GUYS.

reply

Haha this movie has no right to be on the top comedies of the year. To be 1 of the best comedies of the year, a movie HAS to be funny, at least a little bit.

1. Deadpool
2. Sausage Party
3. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
4. Nice Guys
5. Popstar
6. Mike and Dave need Wedding Dates
7. Bad Moms
8. Keanu
9. Zootopia
10. God's of Egypt(so terrible it's hilarious)

Bad Grandpa, Zoolander 2, The Boss, Ghostbusters, Ride Along 2, Barbershop 3, Central Intelligence, Everybody wants some, Bros. Grimsby... absolute trash without a single chuckle let alone a laugh.

I think you're the opposite of paranoid, I think you walk around with the delusion people like you.
