Johnson seemed like he was playing mildly retarded the whole time

That wide-eyed, excited, overly-simplistic way of speaking just seemed weird after awhile, like the way a mentally-handicapped person would talk. The fact that he was also a CIA mastermind seems totally far-fetched.

The CIA doesn't care about looks. It's all about brains , Bobby played dumb to fool people . It's a job requirement !

I'm Blade brown, the Dopest, illest, hypest brotha, on the block!

He was playing a character who is socially awkward .. Both him and Kevin hart were playing against type

reply

No, he was playing a person who didn't really have much experience in social situations. That can make you a bit awkward.

He said in an interview that he was playing a guy who's brain never developed since High School in those kind of situations. Pretty much a big kid.

reply

In theory his character could be bipolar or have a personality disorder. Some of the smartest people, and greatest criminal masterminds, have had similar mental health issues.

reply

yeah,I hated it as well. How did he become a cia agent in the first place?

anyhow,didn't like the movie.

He reminded me of Jack, the UBS guy from MadTV.

I thought that was done deliberately; first as a cover to get Hart's character on-side, second to display his character had some psychopathic tendencies/mentality instability.

I did notice that he plays this bubbly gym junkie. I think he didnt play it well as he thought he did or the director was satisfied with his lame performance. I dont know which is the case.

There is a better way to play this naive/simple high-school buddy in order to get Hart on his side while lying that he is a CIA agent.

Bob Stone reminded me so much of cody from step by step; just pay attention to the rock's mannerisms and facial expressions.
