Come on... who sleeps in a pajamas nowadays?

Almost in every US movie with a wake-up scene you see a man wearing pajamas or a t-shirt? Come on, who wears that? I mean every man who is 14+ sleeps only in a boxer, not in a t-shirt and most certainly not in pajamas. I'm 23 and I don't know anyone who sleeps in pajamas or t-shirt between the ages 16-65.

But the question is, why do they always show man in pajamas or t-shirt in a 'wake-up' scene. Are the actors prudish to show some skin or is it normal in the US to wear pajamas or a t-shirt when you sleep?

Just wondering. I loved to movie by the way! ;)

you mad because you didn't get to see some Ryan Reynolds ass?

commando ftw

reply

Nobody buys pajamas but if you don't know anybody who sleeps in a t shirt then maybe you just don't know much about your friends sleeping habits....

If you meant to reply to the OP, reply to the OP.

Wrong... only people too clueless to understand that in a threaded discussion forum you need to reply to the person you actually are replying to don't get that.

The default view is (or at least used to be) the tree view - that is the only correct way to view the thread if you intend to reply to it.

There is no "everybody else does"... without being laughed at for being clueless and not even being able to use a simple web site. Sorry, but that's the fact.

I used to work at Sears (Canada) and we sold men's pjs by the bucketload as it's COLD here in the winter!
Summer pjs? Barely any! (Boxers and Ts were our big seller) ... I had to special-order in summer (ie short sleeves and shrt bottoms) for my elderly dad-some habits die hard!

"There is no "everybody else does"... without being laughed at for being clueless and not even being able to use a simple web site. Sorry, but that's the fact."

No it's not. Everybody else gets it. And so do you. I reply to the thread in general and the context of the post dictates who it is aimed at. You understood it perfectly because it makes sense. You can laugh at me if you want, but nobody else is doing so because everything I did was perfectly clear. Sorry, but that's the fact.

reply

Nope... as a great example, you did it yet again.

You meant to reply to me, but you replied to somebody else. That is what is called being a moron.

When you try to pretend (only to yourself) that you're in fact "doing it right" you prove ever more what an idiot you are. Only you can change that... by replying to the post that you actually are replying to.

No ifs, ands, or buts about it - you're a moron!

reply

Well, I'm not gonna argue with you anymore because you are clearly a waste of time, but considering that you, yet again, clearly understood who I was talking to then I clearly made my point. You obviously got it, because it is obvious. Everybody understand that these threads and make sense in chronological order. If it didn't you wouldn't know I was talking to you... but you did. Case and point. No ifs ands or buts about it. It all makes and you know it.

reply

only because you QUOTED ME...

Read how to use a web site - but you are a moron, and you trying to say anything about "they make sense in chronological" order is complete BS - they make sense in the context of which messages were replies to which other messages - since a subset of the entire thread will begin, it's exceptionally important to understand the context around it.

Hitting reply to the last post in the thread is rude, and shows an amazing amount of cluelessness when you try to pretend otherwise. You're clearly new to using web sites - so don't pretend that you know what the hell you're talking about, as you so clearly DON'T.

Enjoy being a putz!

reply

I'm gonna side with Master on this one. In thread format you just hit reply, type what you want and people will know what you are talking about ... unless you are a moron.

reply

If this were a simple single threaded site, then that would be the case - however this site has tree based threads, so your "opinion" is not wanted - as you're as wrong as that guy... just saying.

"Just hitting reply" is what dumb kids and soccer moms who don't know what the hell they're doing do. Everybody else replies to the post that they're actually replying to.

reply

As of now, you are the only one in agreeance with your point of view while two people disagree. Maybe your "opinion" is not wanted and wrong?

I've been using this site since 1994, and designing web sites since before then... were you even alive then?

No, it's your "opinion" that doesn't matter.

A noob who doesn't know how to work a web site doesn't have an "opinion" that counts. Nice try though.

reply

Woah we got a bad ass over here. WOW you've been designing web sites since 1994? Such a lavish lifestyle you are living there.

I can see why you troll on the internet and get your panties in a bunch ... cuz you're life must suck.

reply

Hey at least I'm not a moron trying to tell the world that he's right when he can't even understand how a threaded forum works.

What you claim is "panties in a bunch" is me laughing at you... no anger, simply full force gut busting laughter at your ignorance (and defense of it).

reply

The point wasn't whether masterofallgoons knew how a threaded forum worked, it was whether people would understand who and what he was talking about even if he replied to the last post rather than the post he was referencing, which people do because they aren't retarded.

Focus a little more on your reading comprehension next time dumbass.

That would be you... I read what was said, and it's an "opinion" from somebody who clearly is not enough of a subject matter expert to have ANY opinion on the subject, let alone trying to take the perspective of if the opinion actually mattered (and it doesn't).

This thread is so small (right now) that is (currently) obvious who they were replying to, but many threads here have multiple sub discussions going on, each nested deeply off of the main OP.

And even in this thread if a lot more replies come in, it won't be obvious which posts were actually replies to the completely wrong post... which is why, of course, one must reply to the post they're actually replying to.

Replying to the very most recent post in the thread - and then trying to defend that action when somebody reminds them that they screwed up... is what is mentally deficient. I won't use the trollish word that you used, since I'm not a putz like you choose to be.

Face it... you're trying to argue something that you have no solid footing about - and you're trying to flame too. Enjoy your head up your butt is all I can say.

reply

Well, chouse is right, both masterofgoon and you are wrong.

"In thread format you just hit reply, type what you want"
Wrong. But chouse already explained this.

reply

I'm in my twenties. I sleep in pajama pants and a t-shirt, or boxer briefs and a t-shirt.

"Oh, my God. Bear is driving! How can that be?!"

reply

[deleted]

PJ pants and a T-shirt in winter, gym shorts and T-shirt in summer. I don't think that's weird at all.

reply

Not everyone lives in Florida bro, you sleep in just boxers in some parts of the world, you wake up with frostbite.

However, this film isn't set in those parts of the world so yeah, you have a point.

"Please don't eat me! I have a wife and kids. Eat them!"

reply

I do!
I don't sleep in boxers unless it's summer... I am more comfortable with warmer clothes on.
As for the t-shirt, I'll wear one in summer (mostly sleeves-less).

Forgetting my own comfort, it's also easier to replace pajamas/t-shirt every (other ) day, than the sheets...
