Both a neat little English movie and a disturbing one. Spoilers

Who read the comic? I didn't but I wonder if it felt different.

There's something cheesy, cutesy and creepy about the teen girls who are presented lightly. I'm not too much older than them but I think I'd want to slap the *beep* out of Jody in particular and send her to a home.

They

- ruin a young woman's marriage in a haze of hormones

- humiliate her and possibly endanger her with that disgusting shagging email

- create circumstances where Nicholas sleeps with her

- send the picture, sending Beth into a frenzy (and Nick, later on, when he catches her kissing the American)

- Jody says she's a dog handler--she loses the dog.

Nick is such a disgusting bastard that he does deserve to be dumped--not trampled.

Oh, and honestly, I hold them responsible for Tamara's neck being broken.

It's supposed to be a light dramedy but I think if I were Ben I'd have had Jody punished somehow.

You can say it was all fate and no one made others do anything but they're still the main plot drivers. And they're so awful.

They stole the movie because of that when the film could have examined Tamara's life a little more.
