A lot better than expected.

I thought it would be absolute junk, but I liked some of the ideas they explored and was interested in the story throughout. I was kind of surprised at the level of sexuality in a fairy tale movie, but as long as its makers don't mind instantly alienating the youngest audience, I have no problem with it.

I didn't expect much, but I knew literally nothing about it going in. I was hoping they would take a much better twist on the story. It was a boring tack on werewolf story to be added to twilight and that leather clad vampire chick flicks from a few years ago. I am definitely played out on that whole line of crap.

I would have been happier with a ghost and the darkness with a supernatural twist kind of deal. On the whole I thought it was pretty unoriginal.

What ideas were explored that you were surprised/interested in? (Like I said, it struck me as cliched and unoriginal). It didn't tickle my feather for a T&A flick either. I am just not that into blondes, and even then I need a reason to at least find the character interesting.

When I got home and saw that Gary Oldman's name was on the cover, I was pleasantly surprised. However, I fear that may have gotten my expectations up a bit. I still wasn't let down, but it ended up being pretty much like I had expected. A fantasy period piece romance with a hint of action.
