Red Riding Hood Doesn't Have Blond Hair, She is a BRUNNETTE!!

As many of you, I grew up with this story. It was one of my favorite bedtimes story when I was a child.

Little red Riding Hoods origin comes from countries in Europe, and even Germany, People mistake the fact that Grimms brothers created this story (They did NOT). in fact they remade the original (an inspirational from the 1st story).

In most versions she has Black light hair (brunnette). In others her hair was described as red.

I mean if you think about it, how many Blonds originated from Germany/Europe. They were most brunnette, and red hair back then.

So why change it?..

They could have made the actress with brown hair.

In MOST version she has brown her, only in some rare version she is blond. I just thought it was stupid she had blond hair. Doesn't mean I'm bashing on blondes.

But it was something not common in the story.

yes, and belle from beauty and the beast was originally blonde, and now everyone thinks of her as a brunette, so what does it matter?

reply

I see your point... but I got over it. Hair colour isn't that important.

"I mean if you think about it, how many Blonds originated from Germany/Europe." 100% of them, blond hair only occurs among the Whitest of White people. Hitler consider the ideal Aryan ace to be Blond Hair and Blue Eyes. So that statement of yours is an epic fail.

I was with you, Mithrandir-Olorin888, until you uttered "epic fail." Such use of the word "epic" joined the List of Banished Words in 2011 (see Unicorn Hunters of Lake Superior State University for more on this).

After reading your reply, I just had to look up what you were talking about. It raises so many thoughts at the same time, that I do not know if I agree with you or want to start a discussion about it.

Nonetheless, thank you for the information. It was a very interesting read :)

What a cretin Mithrandir-Olorin is; most Germans are not blond-haired (they are usually medium to dark brown haired) and blond hair doesn't only occur amongst the "whitest of white" people (whatever that means) but is found in many groups from Europeans to Uralic peoples (the group with the highest percentage and they are from the Urals and Central Asia) to Turkic to Polynesians (children mostly). In Europe the only countries with high percentages of natural blonds are the Scandinavian countries and the Baltic states.

Blond hair is a mutation that can occur in all populations.
