Semi decent Bruce Willis DTV effort (not without problems)
As expected, Willis doesn't do much (as with his last 20 releases) but (now armed with what we know about his failing health) he's actually OK (if a little one-note at times)
The only problem I had with this movie, was it's slow descent into the customary shoot-em-up DTV theatrics (replete with myopic gunplay from the bad-guys)
Which is a shame, because the first 30 or so minutes of this movie were legitimately good....if not great (think 'Vigilante' or 'Death Sentence')
But as soon as the protagonist's 'military-past' is (conveniently) brought up, the genuine drama of the piece, makes way for low rent shoot-outs (and the final third suffers because of such)
Mike Tyson is under-used (two scenes at most) Whereas, Thomas Jane is content to be twitchy, eccentric and sweary.
Rap group 'ONYX' (remember them?) provide around 70% of the soundtrack (which is no bad thing, if you like their stuff)
All in all, pretty good for a DTV release (marred somewhat by the reveal of Willis' condition, as opposed to his actual performance) Despite it's obvious low budget, it's a technically well made (if slightly generic) release.
