sex seemed shoe-horned in...

who doesn't love sex, right? and nakedness and all that. Nothing against sex, but the scene in this film, cool as it was, didn't really help anything in the story. By that time, we KNOW they are a couple, many little scenes showed us this, they care for each other etc... but the "inferred" sex scene justt kinda wasted time.
Is it just me?
Had it done ANYTHING to prove there was some deeper connection, a better bond or even a plot direction based on it, I would think otherwise.
Did I miss how it affected the outcome of this plot?

Maybe if it caused Jack to over sleep the next day and miss his launch time or something, anything...

It is motivated by the scenes that preceed it and shows how afraid Vica is of losing Jack, of not being able to leave earth together... Her words have little impact, she resorts to her body...

It's not about plot, it's about character and where they are emotionally... It was a great way to show her vulnerability and her willingness to fight for what she wants...

Are you an effective team? 😉

Great way to put it - Vica(s) was/were a truly tragic character in this story

Hopefully the others survived the Tet's destruction and got to live out their natural lives with their respective Jacks (excepting Vica-52 of course)

Do you mean the swimming pool portion or when he's with his 'wife', they're at the lake, and they go in the cabin afterwards? I think they just needed a cool way of showing off that sweet transparent up in the air swimming pool.
