How things have eroded, mountains built up

And at one point, when jack is on the bike and looking for the drone through his gun from where the where the water was in New York and then a few 100. Meters down the way he is in New York public library, which is far under ground
Now it's fine that it's under ground, jack came through the roof, but there was a sign that said libary amongst the rocks
And huge bloody mountains in the background

The landscape of this movie makes no sense

It was supposed to look as if the climate changed significantly, sort of as if the climate had switched to a subarctic plain landscape.

The whole universe of Oblivion takes place in an alternate universe where in 2017 we'd be flying missions to Titan, where in reality NASA will still be begging Russia for rides to the ISS.

...and a reality where an AI is too retarded to find water and energy in ALL the other planets/moons before earth or two retarded to create more than just two types of clones.

The movie relies more on FX/visuals & music and in the end its more of the love story

It's set in the year 2077 this is told to us at the very beginning .

What makes you think that? What did you see that makes you believe that Beech may be wrong? Not trying to start a flame war but I can't how Beech could be unaware or confused as to what year it is.....

Jack thinks it's 2077 but what does he know? The only clue we have as to what year it is, is what the Morgan Freeman character says: that the moon split (in 2017) when he had been in the army for just one year, probably when he was 19. We don't know how old he is but he didn't look 79 years old, so it's safe to say that it's not 2077 yet.

Morgan Freeman happens to be 79 now. I'd imagine 60 years of life as a scavenger might make the character a bit younger but not so much that he would necessarily be lying or confused.
