His rifle sling system...

...was pretty cool. I'm hoping it's based on a real one, in which case does anyone know what that is?

(to clarify, I'm talking about the design of the straps for his rifle that enabled him to deploy / un-deploy his rifle so easily and fast)

I'd guess it was designed for the film. It seems they had a solid art direction team.

Looked like a 3-point sling. Kind of a mashup between a single point and 2-point.
