Not one laugh

They had the rough material but they lacked proper writers.
Ditched after 40 minutes.

total stinker.. and way too long.

only good scene was Jonah "quitting" his job

There were a bunch of other good scenes. Unfortunately, the middle was so long and so painful that most people probably don't remember the other good scenes such as Richard Benjamin playing the creepy orthodontist.

Alas, most everyone in the cast had so much potential, largely unused or ill-used.

I've never liked Jonah Hill as a comedian... nothing personal, just don't find him funny.

I only watched this because of Eddie Murphy thinking perhaps the rest of the movie may be at least watchable (I knew he was only in a supporting role) but ended being disappointed.

I think that the character who maybe made me laugh (barely) was the one played by Julia Louis Dreyfus, even though the same type of humor-joke being used repeatedly kinda ran thin quickly... the dinner scene I could imagine more for a sitcom or SNL skit instead of an entire movie.

3/10.

DISAGREE...I VERY MUCH ENJOYED THIS ONE.

OH RLY!? What was your favorite scene then?

JONAH HILL BLOWING UP EDDIE MURPHY'S PLAY BY EXCELLING AT STREET BALL..."DID YOU FILM THAT?...YOU WEREN'T FILMING ME THAT TIME?"

reply

It was excruciating to make it through
