What did I just watch? Seriously.....what......in......the....hell....did I just watch?

I'm so lost right now with so little appreciation for this film you'd think I was a Battleship, Transformers, 2 fast 2 furious type of movie watcher. I'm not. I love Oldboy and The Fountain, and Cloud Atlas and open to tons of movies with multiple layers and meanings.

But this......this either truly is garbage or is on a level my brain isn't capable of understanding.

I like you despise films like Battleship and would rather sit down and watch a real film.

But I found Cronenbergs last film completely devoid of humour or even entertainment. havnt seen this, may just watch cronenbergs older movies, when he was good

i actually thought a dangerous method was an interesting failure for cronenberg. cosmopolis was brilliant but it was a different type of cronenberg film. if you are used to his body horror type stuff i would not recommend cosmopolis. a dangerous method actually had more in common with his older films (the sexual relationships and the psycho-analysis themes were rampant in that film) cosmopolis was all philosophical dialog with a very little pay off the first time you watch it but the more you watch it the more brilliant it becomes.

Never used the word "pretentious"? Well, it´s not the worst place to start, necessarily. Although the mentioned The Fountain would have been an even more appropriate one - much more.

Its not that your brain isnt capable of understanding it. Its that you havent studied or readf anything about economy and sociology.
