If you are a pretentious college sophomore studying post modernism or philosophy you might find this crap compelling. For the rest of us, not so much. I expected better from David Cronenberg than this. The Emperor's New Clothes syndrome strikes again.
shareI loved it. Very surreal, with a great and interesting script. I thought the casting was superb and Pattinson was outstanding. Of it weren't for Violence, I'd say this is probably DC's best film since Crash.

It's bad. I am not a fan of the oh-so-dripping-with-deep-hidden-meanings delivery.
The only quarrel I have with the Emperor's New Clothes comparison was that in that fable, all the townspeople believed they were missing something due to their own stupidity. With this movie, from the comments I have read, most people are not fooled and recognize it as empty crap.
