You know he was probably at his absolute peak physically, creatively, voice, and execution of his dance moves around the time Dangerous was out and a few years after, but he never really fell off much at all.

Bearing in mind that these were just clips of his rehearsals and not the day of the show, I was prepared to see a dramatic difference in his performance and appearance, but he was still top shelf.

That guy was really something. Just untouchable.

You've seen a carefully edited movie that obviously hide anything untoward.

Michael was coming down on drugs (getting clean before leaving US territory) and was suffering. He was extremely cold (a symptom of coming down.)

You will see that he is wearing a huge jacket in one of the songs.

Kenny Ortega testified about how he was torn between cancelling the whole show (which was what was needed) or letting it go forward, to please both MJ (who didn't want to lose face) and the promoters.

He sent this email:

"There are strong signs of paranoia, anxiety and obsessive-like behavior,I think the very best thing we can do is get a top psychiatrist in to evaluate him ASAP. It's like there are two people there. One (deep inside) trying to hold on to what he was and still can be and not wanting us to quit him, the other in this weakened and troubled state."

The good performances came after they met him and said "get to work, snap out of it, otherwise the whole thing is over and you'll never get out of debt."

He turned up the next day and performed his best ever.

He was kind of thin, but he still had strength in him. He wasn't as frail as tabloids said. I was pleased with his appearance.
