I just started watching the show and I'm hoping there aren't any more ridiculous scenes. Luther can over power the killer anytime but he is going to wait until there is only 1 bullet left? Save the killer but let him pull the trigger 3 times while aimed at his head playing Russian roulette? Going to keep watching but c'mon.

It's been a very long time since I watched this show and I can barely remember most of it, but one thing I remember is that Luther had suicidal tendencies and that was established pretty early. In fact isn't the beginning of the first episode Luther standing on the edge of a building and leaning forwards?
