Plot hole (Kinda)

I work pretty much next door to Bridget's flat off of Borough Market (Which I can confirm Bridget would need to be on one hell of a salary to afford) and had the pleasure of seeing a lot of the scenes being filmed, and even getting a glimpse of Renee herself!

The getting to hospital scene made me crack up for more than the obvious reason, Guys Hospital is literally just at the end of the road from her flat they could have walked there in less than 5 mins lol however not everyone would know that and I am glad they kept the hilarious scene they did in!

It's a kind of plot hole.

However, it's a comedy moment in the film and comedy defies logic. If it were a drama based on a hard factual London, then it would be a plot hole. And, given the situation, it could be quit funny to have a walk down the street turn into a giant journey.

Also, I live in Philadelphia and was astounded to learn two local news anchors, who seemed really stupid, made 700k. That was ten years ago so I assume they make more here now.

Bridget would be very rich I assume, although she doesn't look like it.

Oh totally, the trip to the hospital was one of the funniest moments in the film

I always assumed Bridget moved in there years and years ago when it was slightly cheaper. I walk past the flat every day and always loved it, but its random location and very noisy

reply

That's not a plot hole, that's poetic license.

All I got from this post was the OP wanting to brag about living near (?) Bridget's flat

reply

Sorry that you saw it that way, that wasn't the case at all. But now you mention it, it is pretty cool, I guess I do have a reason to brag :-) I also say I work near, not live near. Thanks for your post though.

Oh and for the other post, I clearly say that its only kind of a plot hole, and I make light of the fact that I understood why they didn't show it.

welcome to the world of TV. The old kid's show Woof was filmed primarily in birmingham, but they made it seem like locations were around the corner from each other, when in truth they could be 5 or more miles apart.

reply

She would need a high paying salary to live in that little teeny tiny home?

reply

Slap bang in the centre of London she would yeah. It isn't teeny tiny either, its a decent sized flat right next to borough market.

Maybe it's rent controlled. I mean, she HAS been in that apartment for many many years.
