About the 3-D Version
How much of this movie is in 3-D? What type of 3-D is it (anaglyph, pulfrich, chromadepth)? Looks like a fun movie, just wish I knew details.

I saw the first 25 minutes of the movie (in 3D) and it's the red/green type glasses. Like the ones used for home versions of Coraline and My Bloody Valentine. There are a few specific 3D parts that stand out, but most of it is just a normal movie with a little depth added to it.
That being said, the 3D depth is the ONLY depth this movie has. The movie is a combo of a poor man's American Pie mixed with an even poorer man's Harold + Kumar. At one point it felt like a film student project. The acting is horrible. The set ups are lame. And I never knew that when you want to peek into the window of your neighbor to your RIGHT, you crawl around the building to the first window to the apartment to your LEFT. Shows the film makers didn't put ANY thought into simple logistics.
AVOID THIS MOVIE! I saw the 1st 25 minutes and there was only 1 slightly amusing line. And that was from the generic "high sex drive, pot smoking slob character". And that was mostly because it was a randomly bizare sentence.
I HATE the phrase "Torture Porn". What happened to the good old fashion term "Snuff Film"?

Torture porn and snuff films are entirely disparate concepts. That's what happened to them. An example of a torture porn film would be one of those horrid Saw movies. On the other hand, an example of a snuff film would be an Al Qaeda beheading video. The difference being that snuff movies at least are presented under the pretext of being real.

check out the film "torture room" also listed on IMDB as "pledge of allegiance". It is by the same writer and director as "Sex Pot". A totally different movie - brutal and political.

You sound like a big cry baby. It's a direct to DVD sex/pot comedy, from THE ASYLUM, what did you expect? And Harold+Kumar, while being a fun movie as well, is a rip off of Cheech and Chong or Bill and Ted, so to harp on this flick for not being original is kind of a joke in itself. And American Pie is just another in a long line of teen sex movies, there's no way that's an original movie either...
Yeah, the acting sucks, but there were enough stoney gags and nudity to keep us entertained while we smoked a few blunts. If you expected anything more than a light movie to turn off your brain and smoke to, then that's just silly...

I sat thru the whole video. Pretty pointless movie unless your just watching for the countless topless nudity. The 3-D only seem to work about 50-60% of the time. the 3-D depth looked good when it did work, but don't expect any 3-D effects to pop off the screen like in decent 3-D movies.
shareActually, a snuff film is a motion picture genre that depicts the actual death or murder of a person or people, without the aid of special effects, for the express purpose of distribution and entertainment or financial exploitation. Though deaths have been captured on film, snuff films as commonly defined are generally regarded as an urban legend. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snuff_film
But I recently discovered that we can't regard them as urban legend anymore. There is a real snuff film that has surfaced. The Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs were teenage serial killers responsible for a string of murders in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine in June and July 2007. The case gained additional notoriety due to the fact that the killers made video recordings of some of the murders, with one of the videos leaking to the Internet. Local media reported that the killers had a plan to get rich from the murder videos that they recorded. One of the suspects' girlfriends reported that they were planning to make forty videos of separate murders. This was corroborated by the suspects' former classmate, who claimed that he often heard Suprunyuck was in contact with an unknown "rich foreign website operator" who ordered forty snuff videos, and would pay a large sum of money once they were made. If this is the case, the leaked video qualifies as a snuff film. Here is the wikipedia article about the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dnepropetrovsk_maniacs#Investigation
The murder video can still be found online. I watched it. It's easy to find, but I would not recommend it. It is easily the worst thing I have ever seen. And once you've seen it, it's in your mind forever...you can't un-see it.
Peace.
reguarding the right - left - door/window thing --- I know for a fact that the logistics were worked out the proper way -- then the "looking through the window" scene was shot first, and after that the hall scene. But when the hall scene came up to be shot there was a technical issue which made the art director have to switch doors (the guys apartment now being the far "right" door. Originally the guy's door was on the other side. This is what happens in low budget films - an unforeseen problem comes up and a quick adjustment is made which compromises the continuity but preserves the the scene.
sorry you only stuck it through the first 25 minutes -- the second half is better than the first -- in my opinion.

The whole movie is in 3D but I think it is only used to make things stand out to be honest with you.
