Apocalypse Now vibe?

Anybody else get a strong 'Apocalypse Now' vibe from this film? The corruption, the forced frivolity and questioning of conventional life, the enigmatic jungle, the journey up-river? Seems like a lot of similar themes going on.

Indeed. The journey up-river definitely seemed very reminiscent of Apocalypse Now.
