Baywatch was not a family TV show, it was adolescent wank fare. As far as the R-rated comedy element goes, the Jump Street movies say hello. When did we get to the point where those movies are hated?
Second, name the last beach movie we had, who was in it, what it was about and when it was released.
I can give you Efron.
Baywatch the TV series was one of the BIGGEST syndicated shows when it was at its height, sold to virtually every nation on the planet.
No way, no how is this going to flop, and whilst you might not like Efron, pretty sure theres plenty of females that do.
Its going to be a moderate hit. Easiest prediction EVER.

It's not going to bomb. The cast is very popular and this is an easy sell to mainstream audiences as a big summer comedy.

shareTerminator Geneys was supposed to be a sure fire hit and became a bomb
440m worldwide wasn't a bomb. it did underperform in US though.
Baywatch will be lucky to get that BO
The Great Hoff is still involved, it should make 200m.
The Great Hoff needs to get his dignity back:

I don't like that box office draw and movie success are linked so strongly. I know there's no better way, but if I watch a movie and hate it, they still have my money. If I think a movie will be good, but can't make it to the theater those two weeks, they don't get my vote. Most of the best movies I ever saw, I didn't see until after it was on home video (DVD, Netflix, whatever).
