Kinda Racist
I don't know i'm kinda racist,too but when it's on movies it bothers me a little. Probably they cast the girls for balancing but they didn't do anything at all.

as for the film its a pile of *beep* dont bother watching it,ending was totally stupid and we get no explaination of the film either
I don't think it was racist. I mean the main guy was a nasty piece of work. But the other black guy imo actually came across not too bad. Seemed like he got sucked into it by his mate and he really didn't want to be there.
shareI certainly didn't think it was racist. Not at all. It was exposing these horrible gang members are they truly are....violent and predators. And you can't deny that there are many gang members that are black or from immigrant communities. So, deal with it.

An as for the girls doing nothing they were laughing as the boy was being beaten up the stairs - kinda makes them as bad in my book.
Funny thing is...
If this happened in the real world, the dad would have been charged with murder and probably convicted, the mum and boy would have been probably been sued for harassing the less fortunate (girls, gang members), and the actual girls and gang members would have been entitled to compensation for injuries. After all, you're not supposed to defend yourself or your property and family. That is the crime of the century.

shareSuddenly the UK's weird obsession with the home invasion genre makes sense (something had to be behind all of these invincible 12 year old chav juggernauts who rule entire cities with their iron fists).
If middle class Britons are living in fear of roving bands of hooligans, this miserable subgenre kind of makes sense as an exploitation of that. And it explains why so many of these films seem to come from the UK. Personally, I don't think I've ever come across one of these sorts of movies that was at all worth watching.
Its almost an extension of BBC's Crimewatch which has lurid reconstructions of burglars tying people up only for Nick Ross to remind us these crimes are very rare and don't have nightmares.

generalizations, huh, in other movies involving other races, people complain about racism when it isn't, but more than often when it involves a black character, it can come off a bit racists...
now, I personally don't think its racists, but I just can't stand generalizations
Don't think it was racist cos one of the home invaders was white, so it was a mix of colours. It did ring true though how both black guys had white girlfriends

I don't recall any case of anyone showing their face, terrorising the parents and announcing they have come round to kill their son. And there are some thick petty villians about.

If there was no Black People well Actors in the Film I rather say, no acting jobs for black actors, you would say it is racist as well...Just shut up and enjoy the film ..why do let the trivial things get to You?
It is called Entertainment, you know, pretend stuff. There are White kids in the film, there are no Chinese, no Mediterranean, or Latino, should we really go off the deep end over some film, It is just a bloody film.
For sake of your own health and mind, learn to be colour blind, there are more important issues in the world.
