Question about the real 'Big Momma'

Is it just me or does Malcolm not realize that he could put the real Big Momma in danger by using her identity all the time?

What if some crooks try to get revenge on him thinking that the real Big Momma is him?

Everytime he introduces himself posing as "Big Momma" he ALWAYS says "I'm Hattie Mae Pierce, but you can call me Big Momma, everybody calls me Big Momma"

1. he's saying her real name
2. he looks exactly like her so they can easily point her out

I know Malcolm's a FBI Agent and he knows what he's doing but at the same time this isn't very smart, endangering his grandmother-in-law

(even though she was only seen in the 1st movie and mentioned in the 2nd)
