Rated 3.0 because of black leads....

If it were, say, Adam Sandler and Alec Baldwin cross-dressing, the rating would've been a 6, or 5 at least.

Why are black films always so low rated? It has to be racism!

Dreamgirls was an amazing film with a mostly black actors and it was even nominated for Oscars, but you racist bastards give it a 6.6 (for an Oscar nominated film that rating is too low). If it were all whites, then it would've been 7.6 or higher.

Nah, this movie looks bad. I don't think changing the ethnicity of the lead actors would change anything.

I saw the 1st two movies, and although I did like the 1st one, the 2nd Big Momma was awful. The new one looks even worst than that.

I do agree with you that movies with Black leads are always rated lower on IMDB but this isn't one of the movies you should be taking up for. Go to the "Pride" message board. It's been rated a 4.9 by IMDB members but 73% of the Rotten Tomatoes members gave it a positive mark.

"Nah, this movie looks bad. although there are some "black" movies that get a low rating on IMDB just because of race issues I don't think this is one of them, it just looks really lame.

IMDB is filed with racist, irrational atheists that's why.

"irrational atheists" lol. how can you say that with a straight face? And how does atheism have anything to do with racism?

Most of the racist people I have encountered use some type of religion to justify their beliefs. Most atheists I know are rational and anti-racist, usually very individualistic and see racism as immoral and irrational.

Big Momma's / Sister Act crossover. You heard it here first.

Of course it is more rational to believe in an angry old white guy in the sky who loves you but will kill you for doing the wrong thing. Just common sense, right?

Well comedy movies with black leads are usually dirt compared to movies with white leads.

reply

Justin Beiber is white and his score is a lot lower

There may be a ratings discrepancy that correlates to race, but you picked the wrong movie to use as a case study.

So, if I understand, one can not dislike a movie with black actors without being racist ? In that case, are people who don't listen to jazz or hate rap music racists ? In that case, was I racist when I dumped my black girlfriend to go out with a white girl, I mean, I thought she was prettier and more fun to hang with, I had to be racist in some way. The last Eddie Murphy movie didn't do well at the box office, there's only one explanation for this, people don't like him because he's black, because they are a bunch of racist scums. And when that black friend of mine in high school had bad grades, it wasn't because of his lack of studying, no, it was because of the color of his skin. As simple as that. So I have an idea : let's start with movies, and say that every movies with a black cast are great, and we will be through with racism. Wait, my dictionary tells me that it would be the exact opposite, I don't understand... it would mean that you are the racist one, master_syphadias, and that is impossible, because of your righteous and appalled post. No, you definitely don't look like a guy with a little obsession about races, and a paternalistic vision of black people. You clearly have thought it through.
