I stopped watching when....

I stopped watching this movie at the scene when "Trent" is rapping at the girls school cafeteria and suddenly everyone is dancing and singing along. I mean, COME ON! What were they thinking, doing this scene? I used to like the entertainment value of Martin Lawrence movies, but this is just ridiculous.

..I wish I did.

i threw my hands up at that point and took it for what it was...but to be fair, how many musicals do the same thing? At least in this they werent group dancing in sync

What's odd to me is why you'd watch a film in this subgenre of comedy and not expect "ridiculous".

If you're not a fan of ridiculous things in films, avoid the subgenre. It doesn't take much smarts to be able to figure that out.

I think the whole musical number in the bathroom when they were fixing Mia's hair was worse than the cafeteria. I just sat there thinking, what is the point of this??? They choose to leave all that needless footage in the film instead of using that time to fill in plot holes and wrap up other storylines. This movie was the worse by far. They should just stop this franchise....

Really? I stopped watching during the first couple of minutes of the film, especially during one of the generic, so-called action comedy fighting scenes. This makes Big Momma's House 2 look like a masterpiece....

im at that part of the movie, and i had to pause it (dvr'ed on free hbo weekend) and go here to read others' comments on this monster turd. the haley chick is a fine hottie

I almost stopped then too and paused the movie (which was on TV) and then fast forwarded past that scene...why on earth would that girl have got up to play the piano for someone who was making fun of girls at all girl schools? Is she supposed to be angelically nice? The "cringeworthiness" of obviously choreographed numbers in films is not new for me and much fast forwarding has been done previously and throughout this film. I thought I'd watch so I could give a full review since "fans" of films usually complain if you say you walked out/ gave up etc :D (this film was the shark eating the person after they jumped it in the previous film moment).

Disney channel does it all the time. I didn't mind it but it was pretty unrealistic.
