Why the heck did Faizon Love go uncredited in this movie?

He had a fairly large role for being uncredited. This may be a dumb question but do you think they still paid him? And do you think the director or studio was offended that he requested to not have his name in the end credits?

I'm not sure. This is very odd. I believe the same thing happened with Ashton Kutcher in "Cheaper by the Dozen".
