Lifeless and dull
The girl Celia Smith is fine. And Taraji Henson puts in a lot energy as Miss Hannigan. But Harry Connick Jr. Is simply terrible as an actor and made all the worse because of a flesh-colored mic over his right earlobe that looks like some kind of cancerous growth. (They couldn't attach his mic cord to his tie so that it's not a distraction?) I must admit it became a huge annoyance to see at least five minutes of commercials every seven minutes. If you've got kids, they might like this, but most adults will find it hard to slog their way through it only once.
