They pretty much gave up trying to market this film to Millenials, didn't they?
The film was color-corrected to appear more like an older movie - not the piss green, cobalt blue filter shit of most modern movies which was used in the early trailers. When I saw the trailer for it it at the re-release of Raiders a few months ago they had obviously color corrected the trailer figuring (correctly, I assume) that mostly older viewers would go to see the re-release. The July 4th trailers for it replaced the "Sympathy for the Devil" music with CCR's "Up Around the Bend". Neither of these songs are going to bring younger viewers in, but might appeal more to older viewers. The new film itself was marketedly less modern looking (piss filters nowhere to be seen) than it was made to look in the trailers. I wonder if they will keep the color palette as it was projected in the theater I was in or try to jack up the color for the BluRay release.
I liked the film personally, but this is going to tank at the box-office I believe.
