Title has been announced: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Rheumatoid Arthritis

As a member of GenX, I live to make fun of my and older generations for refusing to retire gracefully. Sean Connery gave up the Bond franchise in middle age and wound up starring in many great films in his post-Bond career. No one thought the lesser of him for it. Harrison Ford is not only too old to keep this character going, he looks and acts haggard.

Indiana Jones and the early bird special.

Crystal Skull was the Jones film we didn't need, this flick is the one we REALLY, REALLY don't need.

They just need to do it right, it can be done. I don't care how shit it is... I want more Indy movies. He's to good of a character to dwell in purgatory for this long.

reply

I'll keep an open mind.

Good on you! Mad dude.

Why is he "too good of a character"? I'm generally curious. I loved Ford in the first three films but I don't see how we need to see him portray the character five times.

Kidding aside, Harrison Ford actually injured himself during a rehearsal. Oh man...

Of course he did. There are people in their fifties who sustain injuries (look at Tom Cruise), so he's out of his mind still thinking he'll be able to ace through a shoot without issues.

Here's the part I don't get: Why are people assuming he's gonna be an action star? An older Indiana Jones who doesn't do incredible physical feats is Still a compelling character!

There are Endless stories still to be told. . .whether he straps himself to a submarine, or not. There are *great* movies you could make about a retired/older/onetime swashbuckler.

It was just a joke. Indiana Jones is one of my favorite trilogies and I absolutely love Harrison Ford. He was the quintessential American hero and movie Air Force One is one of my favorites.

All the Indiana Jones movies are spectacular and I've watched each at least 20 times
