The high and might Queen of a multi-galactic empire has NO GUARDS?!?!? No security?!?!? No weapons?!??!? No mechs?!?! On top of all the other stupidity in the finale, this takes the cake. Even over the idea that STONE AGE native Americans - who did not even use metal tools or the wheel, and were later beaten by 500
Spaniels on horses - could beat a space-faring race.

I mean...I can't even...

Poor OP: this is not what he wanted to talk about. I agree, the final battle was way too anticlimactic and quite unsatisfying.

She wasn't protected for one simple and all too human reason... arrogance. The daughter that was killed was probably nowhere near as powerful as the queen and between believing she was basically invincible and using an EMP to cripple technology all over the world they made the same mistake as other alien races and underestimated human willpower, resilience, and ingenuity. If it took the Dornia thousands of years to find an effective weapon and it was biological I think it's safe to say conventional weapons would not have a good chance of killing or critically wounding her. She was partially defeated by her own hate and rage. Whatever happened after the invasion aside, her motive for invading was personal; she wanted to destroy the race that had killed her child.

I assume she thought the humans were beaten and couldn't get through the massive numbers down on the mall to get to her. Why wouldn't she arrogantly feel she needed no protection?

Arrogant or not, NO leader of any country on Earth would EVER walk into a shopping mall without security, let alone the site of a recent battle, and with hostile combatants known to still be alive. Yet another reason this show was sssssssssssssooooo terrible by the end.

Besides that, did you not see the massive army at the base of the statue on the mall? She arrogantly assumed they would be coming through that army of espheni and skitters.

Yes shopping mall. School. Museum. Have you EVER seen ANY leader of ANY country EVER not lead, followed, and surrounded by bodyguards while even in the safest of places? Are you insane? You think Obama or Theresa May goes to McDonald's without tons of security? This whole scene defied belief.

From what it looked like she had guards but she sent them all out into battle to fight the humans and they were defeated and she was the only one left in the end. I don't know why she didn't have weapons but I think she underestimated Tom and that was why he was able to defeat her.

You are stating facts but not explaining WHY she did not have guards. The is the leader of some multi-planet empire with millions of soldiers. But she does not have guards? It is the most idiotic thing ever on this utterly idiotic show.

Just like I stated before. I think she got a little too overconfident and thought she could easily handle a human like Tom Mason by herself so she sent her guards out to battle. Judging by the size of her I don't think many other human or alien life forms had defeated her before so she thought she had nothing to worry about.

I read what you wrote. It still makes zero sense. No ruler of a city, let alone country, planet, or GALACTIC EMPIRE would be left unguarded like that.
