Why the negative comments if haven't seen the movie

I don't understand why people come on here to make negative comments when they haven't even seen the movie. If you then have legitimate negative comments to make, that's fine, but why the hate?

This is a very solid movie. There are few places where the acting is not very good, and it does start out very slow. However, it is real. I'm not saying every single thing about it is real, but it captures the real emotions of a family dealing w/ cancer. To me, that is FAR better than all the gratuitous violence, sex and cursing in a lot of movies today.

I can take my children to this movie (after having conversations about the subject matter beforehand) and know that they will gain empathy and understanding about the suffering of others.

I think I'll take a stab at this.

First, we have a ton of movie snobs. They don't write, act, or direct, but like most on the world wide web, they spew hate and venom since they can't do a thing with their own lives.

Second, a ton of atheists and agnostics dwell here. Anything Christian or pro-religious sucks. In their tolerant eyes, they think God is a bad word.

I agree with you.

Hey, I saw the movie, and yes it begins cheesey, but overall it's good.

If you haven't seen it, go see and then rate it. If you haven't seen it, and still comment and rate it as beneath crocodile piss, you're a heartless bastard who smashes others peoples movies, especially one about a kid with cancer.

Waiting for The Family Guy to mock this, soon enough. Not with glee, but since FG made fun of Terri Schiavo, this is the next logical thing to skewer.
