Personal Experience

I was a children's hospital volunteer for 5 years, and know well what that's like for young cancer patients, but now know even better after becoming ill a year ago, and know the day to day struggle to keep living (non-cancerous diagnosis)...

Sure, the film isn't perfect but many aren't happy unless they are watching "Speed" - mores the pity...

In the end, this film showed again that, like the line in Casablanca, a person can be for good - or evil, and in this case this boy's life was very good because he inspired so many to do better...

Look at young Rachel Scott - she died a teenager but the "Rachel's Challenge" campaign to help other teens is still alive, 13 years later...

Teen Ryan White was another fine example - he died at just age 19 but his example is still helping millions through the Ryan White Care Bill...

On the other hand, the countless news stories of someone who has done the wrong thing in life is the other side of what can happen - again, we can live for good or evil - pray to do good, always...
