Did Liam Neeson character know?

I enjoyed "The next three days" and found it to be really an exciting thriller. One question. The Damon Pennington character played by Liam Neeson who wrote a book on breaking out of prisons meets John (Russell Crowe) for coffee and a chat. Do you think he knew the plan John had to break his wife out of prison all along? Or just agreed to meet & discuss how & what to do to break out of prison & get away in return for some cash.

Would have been risky if John had told him as he could have tipped the cops off.

Of course knew. He knew as soon as John said "City" after he said some factors to be considered included if it was a country or city prison.

Whoppingraj is right, as soon as John answered "City" then the discussion was no longer about breaking out of prison n general, it became specific and Liam's character filled in the blanks that he needed to know. Of course he didn't know specifics, but he didn't need to.
