Excuse my probable blindness but:
How did the blood get on Lara's coat? Certainly not during the button pop?
I watched the sequence when she returns the fire extinguisher to behind the car in 1/16th speed - she turns her back and there doesn't seem to be blood there - but in any case - HOW?
I believe it's actually was during the button pop. The mugger did collide with her.
shareJust watched this last night. I was very bothered by the blood on the top of the back side of her coat when the collision was nowhere near that area.
shareThe mugger kind of spins and shoves her a bit from behind, or at least reaches out with her hand. I guess the blood was on her hand.

The blood was on the other woman's hand. After she bumps into Lara she gives her a little shove as if to say "watch it". It's quite subtle but it definitely happens. That's when the blood got on her back.
at the end when the cop is working on his theory.
the mugger/actual killer slaps her on the back as they collide and the button pop from her cuff had blood on it.
